RESERVE DES BISONS D'EUROPE

Present in the wild only in northern Europe, the European bison has been reintroduced in Margeride. In the Sainte-Eulalie reserve he lives in semi-freedom on more than 200 hectares. The visitor has the choice between the guided tour by horse-drawn carriage or sleigh in winter and the walking tour in a more restricted area. The guided tour allows you to meet the largest land mammal in Europe in an 80 ha park. A museum space reveals the history of the bison from prehistory to the present day. Hours : * From May to September + school holidays: every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (6 p.m. depending on the period). * Other periods and outside school holidays: every day except Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. * From mid-November to mid-December (inclusive): the European bison reserve is closed (annual closing period). From May 1, 2024, a new activity will be created for bison: a hiking trail . We offer a rate for groups (more than 12 people), quote on request by email.
