Les portes de Mende - VTT N°7

Short, sporty hike that starts from the Mende stadium and follows the Causse of the same name through the forest, returning via a forest path. After almost 3 km of false flat, the real difficulty of the circuit comes in the form of a short, steep climb, 450 meters of ascent with a difference in altitude of 120 meters! This is followed by a succession of small climbs and descents over almost 3 kilometers before a first beautiful descent of 400 meters long, a climb of one kilometer and then a new, slightly steep descent of around 600 meters. Descent to the spectacular city with beautiful views of the historic center and the cathedral before reaching the finish. NB: A small portion of the circuit takes the RN88, a very busy road, be careful . To see along the way : crossing a national forest with a view of Mende and the Lot, in the middle of the vegetation. Road access : The start of the circuit is located in the parking lot of the Jean-Jacques Delmas sports complex, in front of the intercommunal swimming pool (route du Chapitre).
