The successive terraces on which it is established are perhaps the index of the presence of a second enclosure. To the north is a square tower serving as a dovecote, to the east a covered, barrel-vaulted passageway leads to the front door of the courtyard. The large main building occupies the entire south side. The castle seems to have been inhabited until 1786. The house also bears signs of development from the end of the 17th or the beginning of the 18th century, in particular the remains of a large staircase. It is already mentioned in ruins during a sale in 1932. Access is quite easy but it is perilous to enter the ruins. The view of the Nize and Bramont valleys is however worth approaching the site. The Pays d'art et d'histoire Mende et Lot en Gévaudan can offer you guided tours, depending on the program or by reservation. click to find all the castles of the Country of art and history
