This route from Badaroux follows the meanders of the Lot on both banks. It passes through the hamlet of Nojaret, the birthplace of Jean-Antoine Chaptal, born in 1756, a great chemist and industrialist as well as a leading politician in the 18th and 19th centuries, who notably developed the "chaptalization" of wines (a process for improving the mediocre wines of the time).
