This deformation of the Occitan word "ronc" means "rock": here, the limestone is tinged reddish by iron oxides. From this high point, the view embraces the Lot valley and the Margeride. Along the way, the Saint-Véran fountain evokes the first location of the village of Barjac. A sporty hike with a good climb and, as a reward, a superb panorama of the Lot valley and the Margeride.
