"The oldest document mentioning the castle dates back to 1275. It depended on the seigniory of Peyre whose barony settled there definitively in 1632, after the destruction of the castle of Peyre. At the southeast corner was erected a tower similar to the three old ones to ensure symmetry.To the east, two single-storey pavilions were built to close off the inner courtyard created by the new facade.The interior of the castle was fitted out By its appearance, the castle is closer to medieval constructions than to the buildings of the end of the 17th century of which it is contemporary.
