"Deep within the Camprieu plateau, a gaping chasm swallows both water and unwary souls. For centuries, the elders have whispered that no one can cross Bramabiau without leaving a part of their spirit behind. In 1888, a man dared to defy the unknown. He returned... but his gaze was no longer the same. What truly happened amidst the roar of the torrent? Come and delve into this forbidden history... To reach the site, you must first descend a path (a 15-minute walk) through a beech forest, delightful in summer and bursting with color in autumn, before catching sight of the immense chasm from which the River of Happiness cascades. This site is characterized by its "Alcove," from which the source of the Bramabiau springs forth. It is upon entering this labyrinth that one truly feels the power of nature. This maze is explored for over an hour with a guide. Fascinating and captivating. You realize the cave system extends for over 10 km, and you can't help but dream of speleological adventures in Bramabiau. A true cradle of French speleology, the guided tour offers a very accessible 1 km circuit thanks to its 2006 improvements, allowing you to exit just 5 minutes from the visitor center. To leave the tour, you pass through a tunnel where you can admire dinosaur footprints . Documentation languages: - Dutch, - Italian, - French, - Spanish, - English, - German, - Catalan
