The fish that inhabit the 2,800 kilometers of Lozérien rivers, torrents and streams are mainly salmonids. All the waters of the department are classified in 1st category and brown trout is present everywhere. For fishing, Lozère is separate. The beauty of the natural setting, to which nobody can be indifferent, as well as the number and the diversity of the rivers make this department one of the main French references, even European, of the fishing in river. The act of fishing is above all an intimate relationship between the different elements that make up our environment. The fisherman is a lover of our countryside and even if sometimes the story of his catches (or his empty-handed!) Is somewhat excessive, it reflects above all the discreet and peaceful image of the perfect harmony between man and nature.
